About
I live and work in Tacoma, Washington where the Puyallup River flows into the Salish Sea. My studio practice feeds and is fed by engagement with students at the University of Puget Sound where I teach in the Art and Art History department and Environmental Studies and Sciences Program. You may find me wandering in the woods or floating on water with my husband Michael and dog Hoko or curled up with a book and my gray striped cat, Skookumchuck (Skooks).
I love to facilitate and engage in conversation about art, ecology, ethics of care, and wild nature. I welcome recommendations, questions, and ideas. Contact me at elisemariarichman@gmail.com.
